New Services coming to Crawford County
CATA is pleased to announce the expansion of Lifeline routes in Crawford County starting November 19, 2019. Thanks to a grant from the Crawford County System of Care, CATA is proud to offer 2 day per week service connecting the communities of Cochranton, Cambridge Springs and Venango with downtown Meadville and the Meadville Medical Center.
The routes will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays providing 3 round trips each day. Fares will be FREE for seniors age 65 and older, $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for youth age 6-17. Children under age 5 ride free.
"Connecting rural communities with healthcare opportunities is a crucial step in ending rural isolation and improving quality of life. We are pleased to be able to begin 2 new routes in conjunction with the Crawford County System of Care" said Tim Geibel, CATA General Manager. The new routes will interline with all existing routes in Meadville to allow for free transfers to the Meadville city routes and other lifeline routes.
